Peanut Butter and Chocolate Smoothie

This smoothie is not low-cal, but it is delicious! This makes 2 servings.

5-6 oz vanilla Greek yogurt
3 TBS creamy peanut butter
8 oz. chocolate milk or chocolate almond milk
Hershey's chocolate syrup to taste (start with about 1 TBS)

Put everything in a blender and mix for about a minute. Add 2 cups of ice and blend for about 2 more minutes, till it is smooth. Pour into 2 glasses and enjoy!

This recipe was modified from one from Home Chef. It is my favorite smoothie.

BBQ Carrots - Carrots Even Carrot Haters Can Love

1 lb. of carrots
1 Tbs. BBQ spice rub
1-2 Tbs. butter
1 tsp olive oil
2 Tbs. water
Pinch of salt and pepper

Peel, trim, and cut carrots into 1/4" slices on an angle.
Heat 1 tsp. olive oil in large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
Add carrots to hot pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly charred, 4-5 minutes. Add 2 Tbsp. water, salt and pepper. Cover and reduce heat to medium. Cook until carrots are tender and most of the water has evaporated 3-4 minutes.
Remove cover and add 1 Tbs. butter and BBQ spice rub. Cook, stirring constantly, until carrots are glazed and evenly coated in seasoning, 1-2 minutes.

This recipe came from Home Chef. I promise they are delicious.

Baked Bacon

This is delicious, crispy bacon without the mess.

Line cooking sheet with aluminum foil.

Place bacon in a single layer on the aluminum foil.

Place in oven and cook for 15-20 minutes until at desired crispiness. Thick bacon takes longer.

Remove bacon to paper towel lined plate.

After the bacon grease has cooled, remove the aluminum foil and your cleanup is done!

Who doesn't love bacon?
